Leadership, Service, and Experience
For the Next Generation of Centerville

I am running for Centerville City Council because I believe a fresh voice is needed to manage the complex issues facing our small community. I have seen these issues first hand during my time serving as chair of the Centerville Planning and Zoning Commission. That role required me to engage with the challenges of promoting the kind of economic development that makes a community vibrant, while retaining the central character that drove us to call it our home in the first place. Centerville is special and it deserves experienced leaders to invest in its future.

Hear David Speak about Centerville

North Metro TV gave all candidates for Centerville the opportunity to come into their studio and record a short interview about themselves, their policies and their vision for the future of the city. Hear David below speak about the city and where we should take it in the future.

Experienced Leader

I served in the Minnesota Army National Guard from 2008 to 2020 as Military Intelligence Officer. I deployed twice with Minnesota Units including to Iraq with the 34th Infantry Division, and then to Kuwait with the 34th Combat Aviation Brigade.

Community Knowledge

I spent more than 2 years on the planning and zoning commission where we balanced needs of the greater community and the concerns of affected residents during one of the most active periods of development interest in Centerville’s history. During this time I prided myself on investigating each project thoroughly and ensuring both developers and specialized city staff answered tough questions about their proposals before passing the matter to council for vote.

Centerville Family

My family moved across the freeway to Centerville in August of 2020 and have made our forever home here in this community. My children attend Centerville Elementary and my wife has served in the past on the Parks and Recreation Board. We love all that Centerville has to offer and want to keep it the thriving community we found into the future.
